I doubt very many people outside of Alaska even knew her name prior to McCain announcing it. I highly doubt that high google searches translates into a sure presidential win. This will probably be one of the closest presidential elections in history next to Gore/ Bush. There is little doubt that McCain chose her because she is a woman- trying to steal those 18 million cracks in the glass ceiling, heh?
